Emergency Services

The Emergency Services department includes the North Saanich Fire Department. Formed in 1972, the North Saanich Fire Department is a composite career/volunteer department consisting of four career staff and approximately 35 volunteers operating out of two Fire Halls.

The North Saanich Fire Department provides proficient services to the community including:

  • Fire Suppression
  • Medical Response
  • Rescue
  • Mutual Aid – Agreements with Sidney, Central Saanich, Airport, and Forestry
  • Haz Mat Awareness Response
  • Disaster Planning
  • Fire Prevention / Public Education
  • Public Service Requests
