The Emergency Services department includes the North Saanich Fire Department. Formed in 1972, the North Saanich Fire Department is a composite career/volunteer department consisting of four career staff and approximately 35 volunteers operating out of two Fire Halls.
The North Saanich Fire Department provides proficient services to the community including:
- Fire Suppression
- Medical Response
- Mutual Aid – Agreements with Sidney, Central Saanich, Airport, and Forestry
- Haz Mat Awareness Response
- Disaster Planning
- Fire Prevention / Public Education
- Public Service Requests
