Agenda posted for Mon, Jan 31 Special Meeting of Council
The agenda for the Special Council Meeting on Monday, January 31 at 7:00 pm has been posted at northsaanich.ca/council-meetings.
North Saanich Council will discuss the Official Community Plan (OCP) review at this meeting.
This is a follow up from the December 6 meeting, at which Council directed the project team to initiate drafting an OCP focused on agriculture and local food systems, marine and natural systems, climate action, healthy communities, and jobs and the local economy, and to plan a public engagement process focused on housing and affordability.
Within the meeting agenda you will find links to the proposed engagement plan for housing and affordability, revised work plan, and budget, as well as a staff report that provides context for these elements.
Due to the highly transmissible Omicron variant of COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution, the District has reduced the number of people allowed in person at Council Meetings: currently, six members of the public can attend in person. Please note that the meeting agenda identifies various other ways you can participate at this meeting (and other Council meetings).
