Bazan Bay 5K Sunday, April 12, 2026

The Saanich Physio+ Bazan Bay 5km Road Race takes place at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 12. Road closures will begin at 10:45 a.m. and remain in place until just after 12:00 p.m.

The race starts and finishes on 5th Street near Tulista Park in Sidney. If travelling in the area, please plan your route accordingly.

Closures:

• Ocean Ave. to Weiler Ave. (both lanes), from 10:45–11:05 a.m.
• McTavish Interchange: race turnaround near Cy Hampson Park (both lanes), from 10:45–11:45 a.m.
• McTavish Interchange to Tulista Park boat ramp (northbound lane), from 10:40 a.m.–12:05 p.m.

Traffic Changes:

• Southbound traffic reopens between Weiler Ave. and McTavish Interchange at 11:05 a.m.
• Northbound traffic (exit only) allowed between Ocean Ave. and Weiler Ave. from 11:05 a.m.–12:05 p.m. Entrance permitted before 10:40 a.m. or after 12:05 p.m.
• Streets and driveways on the west side of Lochside Dr. south of Weiler Ave. will be right turn only (southbound) during the race.

Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct vehicles.
