BC Transit Route 85 Detour – Beginning June 29

Due to construction on West Saanich Road, BC Transit Route 85 will be detoured between Birch Road and Lands End Road starting June 29, 2026.

The detour is expected to remain in place until mid-fall and will result in:

• Temporary closure of six bus stops within the construction area
• Installation of temporary bus stops at select locations along the detour route
• Signage directing riders to the nearest available stop
• Slightly increased travel times for Route 85 trips travelling inbound to Sidney

No changes will be made to bus stops outside the detour area.
