Claim your Home Owner Grant before July 2, 2026

Did you know you may be eligible for the B.C. Home Owner Grant?

This provincial program helps reduce the amount of property taxes you pay on your principal residence. Most homeowners qualify for a basic grant, with additional support available for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.

Be sure to apply each year before your property tax due date (July 2, 2026) to avoid penalties.

Please note: 2026 tax notices have not yet been issued – they are scheduled to be sent before the end of May. In the meantime, you can apply for the Home Owner Grant in advance using the information from your 2025 tax notice.
