District Announces New Leadership for North Saanich Fire Department

The District of North Saanich is pleased to announce new leadership for the North Saanich Fire Department, with John Robertson stepping into the role of Interim Fire Chief and Mike Burgess as Fire Services Advisor.

Chief Robertson brings extensive operational and management experience to his new role and will guide the department’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality fire protection and emergency response services to the community. Mr. Burgess will support the District as Fire Services Advisor, bringing decades of leadership and advisory experience within the regional fire service. His expertise will support the department’s growth, planning, and service delivery.

Chief Robertson and Mr. Burgess have assumed their roles as of November 14, 2025. The District thanks the previous leadership for their service to the community.

The District remains committed to strong leadership, operational continuity, and the safety and well-being of North Saanich residents.
