District of North Saanich Ratifies First IAFF Collective Agreement
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The District of North Saanich is pleased to announce the ratification of its first collective agreement with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 5509.
The agreement applies to all paid members of the North Saanich Fire Department, including both full-time firefighters and on-call firefighters. This milestone agreement represents an important step forward in strengthening the District’s fire service by supporting a positive, fair, and professional working environment for all members.
The District recognizes the vital role firefighters play in protecting the safety and well-being of the community. This agreement reflects a shared commitment to collaboration, mutual respect, and the long-term sustainability of emergency services in North Saanich.
