  • limit physical activity to cooler parts of the day
  • look in on your neighbours

If you need a place to cool down, there are cooling centres set up on the Peninsula:

  • SHOAL Centre at 10030 Resthaven Drive – Mon & Tues 2-6 p.m.
  • Brentwood: Centre for Active Living (formerly called the Seniors Centre), 1229 Clarke – Mon & Tues 2-6 p.m.
  • Saanichton: Masonic Hall, 8105 Derrinberg Road, corner of East Saanich and Newman – Mon & Tues 2-6 p.m.
