OCP follow-up – Nov 22 Special Meeting of Council

On Monday, November 22, North Saanich Council received a presentation by MODUS Planning, Design & Engagement Inc., outlining the OCP’s revised Phase 2 Engagement Summary and Policy Directions Report and revised Phase 3 Engagement Plan. Members of the public participated in-person and online (36 in-person, 7 via Zoom, and 15 watching the Livestream). 

The consultants also presented a range of land-use options to demonstrate how different housing types and other land uses could be accommodated within North Saanich while increasing the amount of agricultural and rural residential lands.

Council moved to receive the Official Community Plan Review revised Phase 2 Engagement Summary and Policy Directions Report. The remaining four recommendations will be deferred for consideration at a Special Council Meeting to be scheduled for early December.
