I was elected to council in a by-election in April 2019.
I have a Master’s in Public Administration and have experience working for the provincial and federal government. For the past six years I have worked for Level Ground Trading, a local fair trade coffee roaster. I am the board chair for the Fair Trade Federation and co-founder of Hansell & Halkett, a local vintage furniture and décor business.
I live with my husband Aaron and our daughter Emma near Pat Bay in our Platinum Built Green home. We enjoy gardening and exploring the local trails, beaches, and parks. I have a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for this incredible land we live on and for the generous and welcoming people of the Saanich Peninsula. I believe it is my responsibility to conserve this place for generations to come.
My regional responsibilities for the 2018-2022 term include:
- CRD Inter-Municipal Climate Action Steering Committee
- Peninsula Crossroads Community Justice Program
- Saanich Peninsula Literacy Task Force
- School District No. 63 North Saanich Liason Committee
- Liaison, Peninsula Streams Society
I am honoured to serve our community as councilor and would love to hear from you. Please contact me at 250-888-7202 or by email ppearson@northsaanich.ca
