Proclamation for National Public Works Week

Mayor Peter Jones has signed a proclamation for National Public Works Week, May 18-24, 2025!

This year’s theme is “People, Purpose, Presence” and we want to give a huge shoutout to our hardworking Public Works team. They do an incredible amount of work for the community including snow removal, tree trimming and chipping, annual water main flushing, maintaining our parks and trails, emptying garbage bins, sewer water maintenance, green waste, burning, and more! They are the ‘boots on the ground’ at the District and we recognize their contributions to the District of North Saanich – we’re very grateful for the work they do. If you see the crew out and about, be sure to give them a friendly wave!
