Climate Action Recognition Program Award

The District is proud to report that the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Green Communities Committee (GCC) has awarded North Saanich with Level 3 recognition under the GCC’s Climate Action Recognition Program for the 2018 year. Level 3 recognition – also described as “Accelerating Progress on Charter Commitments” – is reserved for communities that have previously achieved Level 1 and Level 2 recognition, and have demonstrated significant climate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the year.
