Election 2026
In British Columbia, general local government elections take place every four years. These elections provide residents with a direct way to participate in local democracy by choosing the individuals who will represent the community and make decisions on their behalf for municipal government and the local school district during the next term.

Individuals who wish to seek local government office in a general local election must meet eligibility requirements in order to be nominated. - Register to vote if you are 18 years of age or older
- Update your voter details, including your residential or mailing address
- Enroll on the List of Future Voters if you are 16 or 17 years old
