2022 General Local Election
General Voting will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at North Saanich Municipal Hall (1620 Mills Road) for the offices of:
- MAYOR – one to be elected
- COUNCILLOR – six to be elected
- SCHOOL TRUSTEE – two to be elected
Advance voting will be held on Wednesday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at North Saanich Municipal Hall (1620 Mills Road).

The administration of general local elections (and by-elections) is a shared responsibility between local governments and Elections BC. The District of North Saanich, like every other local government in BC, is responsible for running its own general local election.
In addition to the guiding legislation set out under Part 3 of the Local Government Act, the District also administers the election under the following guiding bylaws:
- District of North Saanich Bylaw No. 1451 – New Elections Procedure Bylaw
- District of North Saanich Bylaw No. 1180 (Consolidated) – Mail Ballot Authorization and Procedure Bylaw
- District of North Saanich Bylaw No. 0992 – Automated Voting Machines Authorization Bylaw
Council has appointed Rachel Dumas, Director of Corporate Services, as the Chief Election Officer and Alicia Ferguson, Deputy Corporate Officer, as the Deputy Chief Election Officer for the Local Government Election scheduled for October 15, 2022 for the District of North Saanich.
