General Information

Below is a list of documents that will help answer questions you may have regarding building or renovating. If you require further information, please contact the building department at 250-655-5470.

Property File Information

Property owners (and their authorized agents/realtors) may request records related to their property by completing the Request for Property File Information form and returning it to the Planning & Community Services Department or emailing it to building@northsaanich.ca

Please be advised that Property File Information requests are processed in the order they are received and may take up to 10-15 days to complete, depending on the volume of information requested. 

Beginning January 1, 2026, a Property File Review fee of $75.00 will apply to all Property Information Requests, in accordance with Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 1471, Schedule A. Payment will be required prior to processing requests.

Permit Fees

See Section 5.9 of the Building and Plumbing Bylaw 1150

Please note that the District accepts cash, cheque, or debit but does not accept credit cards.
