Heat Forecast – July
The forecast indicates that we will be experiencing high temperatures this week. Currently, these temperatures do not warrant the opening of a community Cooling Centre. It remains crucial though to prioritize safety measures to safeguard yourself and others during this period of hot weather.
Heat stroke is a medical emergency. Call 911 immediately if you are caring for someone, such as a neighbour, who has a high body temperature and is either unconscious, confused or has stopped sweating.
Three things you can do to help yourself and others:
- Know the symptoms associated with excessive heat.
- Take precautions to stay safe and healthy.
- Help others in your neighbourhood.
The North Saanich Fire Department will continue to monitor the forecast and will update response actions accordingly through this website.
