Heritage Week 2025: Celebrating Our Community’s Past
North Saanich, BC – Mayor Jones has officially proclaimed February 17-23, 2025, as Heritage Week in North Saanich. This dedicated week highlights the importance of preserving and celebrating our rich and diverse heritage.
Residents and visitors are invited to join us at Municipal Hall from February 18-21 for “Pastimes in Past Times,” a special event that explores the leisure activities of our forebears and their lasting impact on the cultural fabric of today. This engaging theme offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the traditions that have shaped our community and to connect with the stories of previous generations.
In addition to exploring our community’s past, we are excited to announce a special raffle for all attendees of the Heritage Week events. Each participant will have the chance to win a copy of the cherished North Saanich Heritage book, titled “The Land Where It Is Good to Be ‘Eetsun-Hunnumut’: Memories of North Saanich.” Don’t miss your chance to take home a piece of North Saanich history!
