Reflective Address Sign Program
In an emergency, every second counts.
In rural North Saanich, especially in rainy or dark conditions, it is often hard to make out specific street addresses. This can be a serious issue when emergency responders are trying to find you at your home.
The North Saanich Fire Department is offering residents an easy way to ensure their addresses are easy to find.
Through our Reflective Address Sign Program, we will come to your residence to install a high-visibility reflective address marker.
Used in many municipalities, these blue and white reflective markers are all the same colour and shape. Approaching emergency responders can see them more easily than many other address signs, especially at night or in poor weather conditions.
The cost is only $65.00—including tax and installation. When you order a sign, a member of the Fire Department will come to your home, determine the marker’s best location, and install it.
You can make your purchase at the North Saanich Fire Hall, 986 Wain Road (8:00-4:00, Monday to Friday).
