Blasting Permit Application Form; Blasting Bylaw

• Any blasting work conducted in North Saanich requires that you obtain a blasting permit.
• Blasting is a heavily regulated industry governed by WorkSafeBC
• Only a certified blaster may apply for a blasting permit.

A complete application includes:

• Complete application form.
• An approved Building Permit or an approved Engineering Servicing Drawing, must be in place prior to applying for a Blasting Permit.
• Proof of Insurance by your Insurance Agent, indicating $5,000,000 liability coverage.
• A valid North Saanich Business Licence.

Submit your complete application to Infrastructure Services at the Municipal Hall.

Contractor’s Permit (Permit to work in Municipal Road Allowance or Right of Way)

Application Form

A Permit is required to landscape or install any services in the District of North Saanich municipal lands.

A complete application includes:

• Complete application form.
• A site plan of the proposed work.
• Proof of Insurance by your Insurance Agent, indicating a minimum of $2,000,000 liability coverage.
• WCB Clearance letter.
• A valid North Saanich Business Licence.
• A minimum $1,000.00 Damage deposit

Submit your complete application to Infrastructure Services at the Municipal Hall.

Driveway Permit

A complete application includes:

• Complete application form.
• A standard site plan showing the proposed driveway location, including full dimensions.
