District seeks nominees for Victoria Airport Authority Board of Directors

The District of North Saanich is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving as the District of North Saanich Nominee on the Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) Board of Directors.

The VAA is seeking diverse candidates with experience working at the senior executive level and strong knowledge of financial statements, reporting, and cash management, as well as business planning and development, human resources, and strategic planning. Skill and experience in air transportation and aviation are also desirable.

Candidates must be Canadian citizens who reside in the Capital Regional District, cannot be an elected official, employee, or contractor of any federal, provincial or municipal government, department, or agency, and cannot have been convicted of a criminal offense.

Interested individuals are invited to submit their applications, which must include a cover letter expressing their qualifications for joining the VAA Board of Directors, a detailed curriculum vitae, and a completed application form, by Friday, June 10, 2022 to Rachel Dumas, Director of Corporate Services, via email: corporateservices@northsaanich.ca.

North Saanich Council will interview the shortlisted candidates and select two for final decision by the VAA Board’s Selection Committee, who will review the candidates for their competencies and any potential conflicts. They will conduct in-person interviews and advise the District of North Saanich which candidate best meets the balance sought by the Board.
