Jack McClintock

As a third-term Councillor, Jack has lived in North Saanich since 2013.  Prior to successfully being elected in 2014 and 2018, Jack served as a police officer in Vancouver, Victoria, and Central Saanich and as a Conservation Officer in Alberta and Yukon Territory. He brings over 30 years of community service to the role of Councillor and a proven track record of exercising sound judgement and providing practical and balanced solutions on a foundation of collaboration and compromise.

Jack’s regional responsibilities for the 2022-2026 term include:

  • Vancouver Island Regional Library Board / Library Steering Committee
  • Victoria Airport Environmental Management Committee
  • Victoria Airport Noise Management Committee
  • Victoria Family Court Youth Justice Committee

Stemming from his experience as a conservation officer, he continues to be very passionate about the protection of the natural environment, recognizing the need for balance to support economic growth and sustainability.

Jack and his wife Carol are the proud parents of three wonderful daughters who all call North Saanich their home.

Jack’s hobbies include volunteerism (Tour du Rock, Salvation Army) and in his spare time, he is a Children’s author who recently published his first book.

Jack is honoured to continue to serve the residents of North Saanich on Council with integrity.  He is committed to active listening, respectful discussion and strong community engagement to make well-informed decisions.
