Garbage

The District of North Saanich does not provide garbage services. If residents wish to obtain garbage collection service, they must contact one of the local private garbage collection companies to arrange pick up. Alternatively, some people choose to drop their garbage off at the Hartland landfill at #1 Hartland Avenue.

Recycling

Curbside recycling pick-up is provided to North Saanich residents by the Capital Regional District (CRD).

If you are a North Saanich resident in need of a replacement blue box or bag, you may obtain one from the municipal Hall at 1620 Mills Road. If we are out, please contact GFL Environmental or by phone at 236.470.0186 for your replacement or a missed collection.

There are a number of recycling depots in the Region that will take items that are not accepted in the CRD Blue Box Program such as Sidney Island Return It.
