Next phase of engagement on Tseycum Creek Draft Stormwater Management Plan to commence this summer

The District of North Saanich is developing an Integrated Stormwater Management Plan (ISMP) for the Tseycum Creek watershed to better understand the relationship between drainage servicing, land use, and the environment.

The plan will help the District manage its stormwater through recommended drainage infrastructure improvements and best practices that preserve how our ecosystem functions. The ISMP is being completed as part of the District’s overall asset management program.

The District is now commencing Phase 2 of the engagement process to share highlights of the draft ISMP and will be meeting with local First Nations, interest groups, key stakeholders, and property owners throughout the summer of 2022.

North Saanich residents can learn more about the Draft ISMP and what it means for their community at connectnorthsaanich.ca/drainage.

The page includes FAQs, a timeline, and links to documents that provide a comprehensive overview of the project.

Residents who would like to stay informed about the ISMP for the Tseycum Creek watershed are encouraged to subscribe to project updates by clicking the “SUBSCRIBE” link on connectnorthsaanich.ca/drainage.
