A dramatic increase in the use of water over the past weekend has placed much higher than normal demand on the water supply and storage resulting in low pressure or a possible interruption in service. Lawn and garden watering with automatic sprinklers outside of the water conservation bylaw timeframes can place high and unpredictable demands on the system.
Utility crews are working to resolve the shortage. In the meantime, residents and businesses located north of John Road are being asked to reduce water usage where possible over the next few days to allow the water supply and storage system to recover.
