Saanich Peninsula Accessibility Advisory Committee

The District of North Saanich, District of Central Saanich, and Town of Sidney are pleased to announce the establishment of a tri-municipal advisory committee focused on improving the livability, accessibility, and inclusivity of people with disabilities who live, work, and play on the Saanich Peninsula. 

The Saanich Peninsula Accessibility Advisory Committee (SPAAC) will provide comments and recommendations to the three local governments on policies, programs, services, built environments, infrastructure, and outdoor spaces.

Meetings
The Committee will meet bi-monthly, or at the call of the Chair.

Members
• 3 members of Council (1 member from each of the Saanich Peninsula local governments)
• 1 member from the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council
• 1 member from the Panorama Recreation Centre 
• 1 representative from the SHOAL Centre
• 3 citizens (1 citizen from each municipality)

Call for Applicants!

We are currently seeking applications from residents who are living with a disability or who are supporting a person with a disability to serve on SPAAC as citizen members.

North Saanich residents interested in being considered for this appointment must complete an application form before 4:00 pm, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 and submit it either by email to corporateservices@northsaanich.ca or in person at Municipal Hall (1620 Mills Rd.).
