Tree Protection Bylaw – survey closes Friday, April 22

The District of North Saanich’s survey on the Tree Protection Bylaw review closes on Friday, April 22. The survey opened on Wednesday, March 23.

We thank those residents who attended the District’s open houses dedicated to the bylaw review in late March and early April.

The open houses were an opportunity for staff and residents to talk about the significance of trees and the tree canopy to the community at large, and how the bylaw intends to provide some flexibility for residents to manage the trees on their properties.

Residents who missed the open houses can still watch a recording of the virtual open house session. The recording provides helpful context about the bylaw and why Council would like residents’ feedback on the draft.

The survey, link to the presentation, and some follow-up Q+As from the presentation are all available at https://www.connectnorthsaanich.ca/tree-bylaw.

If residents prefer to fill out a paper copy of the survey, they are encouraged to call 250-656-0781 or visit Municipal Hall to pick up a copy.
