Winter storm/Snow removal

A winter storm warning has been issued for southern Vancouver Island, with heavy snowfall expected Monday night through Tuesday.

District crews will be working hard to clear the roads. Our priority is to ensure emergency responders can safely navigate routes throughout North Saanich communities. As such, crews will clear North Saanich roads in this order of priority: major and emergency routes, hills, and curves; then secondary and connector roads; and then residential streets and cul-de-sacs. For more information, including a colour-coded map of snow clearing priority routes, visit: northsaanich.ca/snow.

The District thanks the residents of North Saanich for working together as a community when winter weather hits by clearing walkways around your property, avoiding parking on roads (which can prevent them from being cleared), and checking on and assisting your neighbours.
