Home Owner Grants

Property owners who occupy a property as their principal residence may be eligible for a Provincial Home Owner Grant (HOG) to reduce their property taxes. If you are eligible for the HOG, an application must be filed each year in order to claim the grant. If you are not eligible for the HOG, please do not submit an application.

As of January 1, 2021, municipal governments in BC are no longer accepting HOG applications (retroactive or new). Instead, home owners will need to claim their grants directly with the Province online or by phone at 1-888-355-2700.
